Business Development & Account Manager – Recruitment Industry

Location: Gurgaon (Delhi NCR), India

Experience: 8–10 Years

Industry: Recruitment / Executive Search / Staffing / HR Consulting

Reporting To: Founder & CEO

Role Overview

You will be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, growing existing relationships, and leading the recruitment delivery team to ensure exceptional customer experience and revenue growth. You will own the complete client lifecycle from prospecting to closure to account expansion

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Generate and acquire new corporate clients across India and GCC markets.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with CHROs, HR Heads, CEOs, and hiring managers.
  • Build a healthy sales pipeline through networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and outbound outreach.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussion
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Account Management

  • Own and manage all client accounts brought by you.
  • Ensure outstanding client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Handle escalations proactively and maintain long-term relationship
  • Become the trusted recruitment partner for your clients.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of recruiters.
  • Allocate mandates and monitor delivery quality.
  • Drive accountability, productivity, and performance.
  • Conduct regular pipeline and review meetings.
  • Coach the team to improve closures and client satisfaction

Recruitment Strategy

  • Understand client hiring needs and create recruitment strategies
  • Collaborate with recruiters to ensure timely submissions and closures
  • Maintain high-quality hiring standards and candidate experience

Business Operations

  • Track revenue, pipeline, conversion ratios, and team performance
  • Prepare weekly and monthly business report
  • Ensure CRM/ATS is updated with accurate client and opportunity

Required Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in the Recruitment/Staffing/Executive Search industry.
  • Proven experience in Business Development and Account Management.
  • Strong network of corporate clients.
  • Experience managing recruitment teams and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of hiring processes and recruitment consulting.
