Responsibilities

Design and develop robust, secure, and scalable backend services using Python

Build and optimize SQL-based data pipelines and database schemas (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)

Integrate AI/ML models into the backend (e.g., via REST APIs, model serving frameworks)

Collaborate with data scientists to productionize and deploy models efficiently

Lead architecture discussions and code reviews

Build APIs consumed by web and mobile clients, focusing on performance and reliability

Work with DevOps to deploy and monitor backend services (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)

Ensure adherence to best practices in security, privacy, and data governance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

5+ years of experience in backend software development

Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django)

Proficiency in design of fault tolerant, scalable systems

Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases

Strong experience in caching technologies

Experience working with AI/ML models in production environments

Familiarity with data science workflows, model lifecycle, and tools like Pandas, NumPy

Solid grasp of software architecture, system design, and RESTful API principles

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

Nice to Have

Exposure to LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain)

Experience with message queues, caching systems, or event-driven architecture

Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, or ETL tools

Familiarity with GraphQL or gRPC
