Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Data Services, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric
- Build and optimize data architectures using Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and Fabric
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources
- Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality and governance
- Implement data models to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Optimize performance and cost of Azure data solutions
- Ensure data security, compliance, and best practices across all pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Strong expertise in Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse)
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark/Scala)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering, Lakehouse, or Real-Time Analytics)
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Experience with big data processing and distributed systems
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Event Hub)
- Exposure to Power BI and data visualization tools
- Understanding of data governance and security frameworks
- Azure certifications (e.g., DP-203, Fabric certifications)
