Sr. Automation Engineer

What youll do

• Develop and implement comprehensive QE strategies and plans.
• Collaborate with development team to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Design, develop, and complete validations of test plans and test cases.
• Identify and efficiently document the software defects and issues.
• Drive, define and evolve automation tools and strategies for testing components, work with product owners to identify and generate test data
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and recommended guidelines.
• Continuously improve QE processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with Product Manager, QE lead and other team members to ensure alignment on quality goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Monitor and report on QE metrics and performance indicators.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication of QE status and issues.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
• Work with customers to understand their workflows and needs and adapt or pivot quickly based on their feedback.

Skills

• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Overall experience 3-6 years in software testing and quality engineering domain.
• Exposure to any scripting language (Python, Perl, JavaScript etc).
• Expertise in automation frameworks - like JUnit, Selenium, TestNG etc.
• Knowledge of programming languages C/C++/Java is added advantage.
• Experience in desktop and web application testing.
• Strong understanding of QE methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Diligent with a strong focus on quality.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
• Basic experience with web technologies with basics of HTML, CSS, PHP etc.
• Knowledge of Node js and Mocha frameworks is added advantage.
