Sr Associate Software Engineer - Tech & Workforce

Roles & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment.
• Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline.
• Rapid prototyping skills, quickly translating concepts into working code.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology.
• Develop innovative solutions using Generative AI technologies.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Create and maintain software documentation on architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
• Work closely with product teams, business teams, and stakeholders.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into software architecture and design specifications.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure software quality assurance.
• Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality software on time.
• Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes.
• Customize modules to meet specific business requirements.
• Integrate applications with external systems for seamless data flow and functionality.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance, ensuring smooth system operations.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business SMEs, and Data Scientists to assist in the design and development of end-to-end data pipelines to meet fast-paced business needs across regions.

Basic Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree with 1-3 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR
• Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR
• Diploma with 7-9 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Must-Have Skills

• Experience in designing and implementing workforce planning and scenario modeling systems such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Orgvue, Anaplan Workforce Planning.
• Strong understanding of HR technologies, particularly in workforce strategy, planning, and analytics.
• Proficiency with SAFe Agile framework, including User Stories, Personas, Epics, Features, Sprints.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, or other programming languages within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Good-to-Have Skills

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
• Experience with data processing tools (Hadoop, Spark, or similar).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.

Professional Certifications (Preferred)

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CompTIA Network+
• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
