Job Description

This role will support one of Acuity's buy-side clients in the fund accounting activities for closed-end private equity funds and related investment vehicles.

Fund Accounting Support (Close ended/Private Equity funds)



  • Perform and review fund accounting activities for closed-end private equity funds, feeder funds, special purpose vehicles and co-investment structures.

    Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end NAV close process, including review of trial balances, accruals, journal entries, expense allocations and investor-level accounting.

    Review capital activity, including capital calls, drawdowns, distributions, transfers, subscriptions, redemptions and investor allocations.

    Calculate and review management fees, fund expenses, organizational expenses, transaction costs and other fund-level accruals.

    Support the preparation and review of carried interest, performance allocation and private equity waterfall calculations in accordance with fund agreements and investment terms.

    Review investment activity, including acquisitions, disposals, realized and unrealized gains or losses, portfolio valuations and foreign exchange movements.

    Analyze and calculate cost of carry, financing costs, commitment fees, interest accruals and other investment related expenses where applicable.

    Strong knowledge of fund accounting concepts and private equity fund structures, including closed-end funds, partnerships, feeder funds, co-investment vehicles and special purpose vehicles.

    Understanding of capital calls, distributions, commitments, unfunded commitments, management fees, carried interest, partner allocations and waterfall models. Knowledge of investment accounting, portfolio valuation, realized and unrealized gains or losses, fair value principles and cost of carry.

    Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

    Effective prioritization, control management and issue-resolution skills. Tools

    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    Experience with Investran will be an advantage. Others

    • Should be willing to work in the EMEA shift i.e. 2am to 11am ET/ 3am to 12pm ET
