About The Role

We are seeking a Data and Reporting Module Lead (Associate Consultant Level) with 4+ years of experience to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of data and reporting solutions across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders in the pharma domain to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable reporting solutions. Pharma industry experience will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:

• Lead the development and execution of data and reporting strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder requirements.
• Manage the data reporting module, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and accurate reporting solutions are delivered.
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders (including business analysts, department heads, and management) to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

Data Management:

• Oversee the collection, integration, and validation of data from various sources (internal and external systems, databases, and third-party platforms) for reporting purposes.
• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to ensure smooth, reliable data flow and processing on AWS, Azure, Databricks etc.
• Work with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions.

Reporting Solution Design:

• Lead the design and development of complex reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL to provide actionable insights to business users.
• Develop reporting templates and modular structures that can be reused across different business units, improving reporting efficiency.
• Ensure reports and dashboards are tailored to meet the specific needs of different departments, including sales, finance, operations, and R&D in the pharma domain.

Data Analytics:

• Perform data analysis and identify trends, patterns, and insights from the data to guide decision-making within the organization.
• Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by senior management, providing insights that support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
• Leverage advanced analytics to create predictive models, forecasts, and performance metrics for key pharma business functions.

Project Management:

• Manage the entire lifecycle of data and reporting projects from requirements gathering to delivery and support.
• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet business requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality reporting solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with various departments (e.g., IT, operations, finance, and marketing) to ensure alignment between reporting needs and data solutions.

Communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders, translating data findings into business-friendly language.

Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use reports and dashboards.

Conduct client meetings, provide basic status updates and engage with junior level clients as needed

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in reporting processes, including automation opportunities, and implement best practices to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in reporting tools and techniques, particularly in the pharma sector.
• Compliance and Governance:
• Ensure that all data and reporting processes adhere to regulatory standards, including data privacy and security requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Work with compliance teams to ensure that data governance and reporting standards are maintained and updated.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics or mathematics.
• 4+ years of experience on data management or reporting projects involving big data technologies
• Hands on experience or thorough training on technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Spark. Experience in designing and building data pipelines
• Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing and data lake architecture
• Understanding of pharma-specific data regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) is highly preferred, but not mandatory
• Experience in a Pharma Commercial setting or Pharma data management will be an added advantage
• General proficiency in programming languages such Python; experience with data management (SQL, MDM, etc.) and visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
• Strong Analytical skills with focus on data driven decision making
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to details, biased for quality and client centricity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Ability to lead a small team of developers, data engineers and reporting experts (2-3 people team)
• Familiarity with advanced analytics, AI ML is preferred, but not mandatory
• Certifications on AWS, Azure, Databricks, GCP, Power Platform etc. are highly desirable.
