In this vital role, reporting to the Organizational Planning Analytics & Insights Business Analytics Manager, you will support Amgen's Tech & Workforce Strategy by developing robust data pipelines, dashboards, and ad-hoc reporting to drive insights that impact resource allocation and sourcing strategy.
This role involves designing and maintaining data models and frameworks for procurement and sourcing analytics, supporting ETL processes for integrating procurement data into EDF, and identifying and resolving data quality issues to ensure reliable metrics and KPIs for collaborators.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines in Prophecy and Databricks
- Develop insights with a strong focus on Tableau and Power BI dashboard creation
- Design and deliver compelling PowerPoint presentations
- Guide data engineers on technical requirements to support dashboards and other business objectives
- Conduct ad hoc analyses of FP&A and sourcing/procurement data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals with data-driven solutions

Basic Qualifications
- Master's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or business analysis
- OR
- Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- OR
- Diploma and 7 to 9 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data science, data analytics, consulting, or financial planning & analysis
- A keen eye for design, with the ability to create engaging PowerPoint decks
- Expertise in building impactful Power BI and Tableau dashboards
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Skilled in tools such as Tableau, Python, R, Alteryx, and Power BI
- Knowledge of global finance systems, procurement, and sourcing operations
- Understanding of biopharmaceutical and biotech industry trends and operations
