Description
We are seeking a Sr. AS400 RPG Developer with 5-15 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RPG programming, as well as experience in developing and maintaining AS400 systems. This is a full-time position based in India.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RPG programs on AS400 systems
- Analyze requirements, design, code, test, and implement new programs or modifications to existing programs
- Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality code
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RPG programs and AS400 systems
- Document code and processes to ensure maintainability and scalability
- Provide technical expertise to other team members and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5-15 years of experience in RPG programming on AS400 systems
- Strong understanding of RPG ILE, RPG Free, CL, and SQL
- Experience with DB2/400 and SQL/400
- Experience with modern RPG tools and technologies such as RDi, RPG Open Access, and XMLSERVICE
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the finance or insurance industry is a plus
