Role Overview

The Senior Analyst - SC Analytics (Demand) supports the demand planning function by developing data-driven forecasting solutions, improving forecast accuracy, and standardizing demand planning processes. The role leverages analytics, forecasting models, and cross-functional collaboration to enable better business decisions and optimized demand planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical forecasting models and fine-tune parameters to align forecasts with market dynamics.

  • Analyze forecasting outputs and present insights to support business decision-making.

  • Identify patterns and trends through advanced data analysis to support forecasting and diagnostics.

  • Monitor and publish performance metrics such as forecast accuracy and bias.

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Support forecasting for new product launches and manage related data requirements.

  • Extract, transform, and manage data using SQL, Excel, Python, and tools such as GCP, Tableau, Dash, and AFO.

  • Collaborate with brand marketing and cross-functional teams to align demand forecasts with launch strategies and promotions.

  • Facilitate consensus meetings to align stakeholders on demand plans and assumptions.

  • Drive process standardization and tool adoption through training and best practices.

  • Work with data science and technical teams to enhance forecasting processes and solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Supply Chain, or related field

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in analytics or supply chain

  • Strong data analysis and statistical skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau / Power BI / Looker)

  • Familiarity with forecasting methods (Time Series models such as Exponential Smoothing, ARIMA basic ML techniques)

  • Proficiency in Python / R / SQL / Excel

  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)

  • Understanding of Supply Chain / CPG / Retail domain

  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Operations or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Certifications such as CSCMP or APICS

  • Advanced Excel and ERP knowledge (SAP APO preferred)
