About The Team

The Customer and Marketing Analytics team focuses on solving complex business problems for the Marketing and Loyalty organization. The team delivers actionable, data-driven insights to improve customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.

We leverage advanced analytical techniques such as root cause analysis, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and customer segmentation, along with modern AI tools (emerging AI models) to accelerate analysis, enhance storytelling, and drive smarter decision-making. The team is also evolving towards building AI-powered solutions and analytical agents to automate recurring analyses and enable analysts to focus on high-impact, enterprise-level problem solving.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Sr. Analyst is to act as an analytical partner to the Customer and Marketing (Loyalty) organization, delivering deep insights and data-driven recommendations to enhance customer engagement, loyalty program effectiveness, and marketing performance. This role focuses on leveraging customer, transactional, and behavioral data to drive a deeper understanding of customer segments, and loyalty performance. The insights generated will directly influence marketing strategy, personalization, and customer experience initiatives. The Sr. Analyst will utilize multiple data sources, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled tools (including ChatGPT and emerging AI frameworks) to generate insights, streamline workflows, and support decision-making. Additionally, this role is expected to contribute towards building scalable analytical solutions and AI-driven agents for recurring use cases, while actively participating in enterprise-level initiatives requiring strategic thinking and actionable insights. The individual must demonstrate strong business acumen in customer and marketing analytics, work effectively in a matrixed organization, and influence stakeholders across levels.

Core Responsibilities

  • Enable business partners to make informed decisions by analyzing customer behavior, loyalty performance, and marketing effectiveness, and identifying key drivers of performance.
  • Develop and maintain customer and marketing scorecards, including KPIs related to loyalty, engagement, retention, and campaign performance.
  • Translate business problems into analytical frameworks, perform deep-dive analyses, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for exploratory analysis, hypothesis generation, and storytelling, improving speed and quality of insights.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses and contribute to building AI/ML-driven analytical agents and scalable solutions.
  • Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders through clear storytelling, structured presentations, and data visualization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Loyalty, Product, Tech) to align insights with business objectives.
  • Continuously stay updated with emerging analytics and AI capabilities and incorporate them into workflows to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team capability building in advanced analytics and AI adoption.

  • Exposure to AI tools and frameworks is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Thinking - Ability to structure ambiguous problems, perform root cause analysis, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Experimentation & Testing - Design and evaluate A/B tests and marketing experiments to measure impact and optimize strategies.
  • Data Management - Ability to capture, structure, and manage large datasets for repeatable and scalable analysis.

Years Of Experience

4 years of experience in analytical role

  • 1 year experience in Retail category analytics working directly with merchants

Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or any other Quantitative
  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Math or Business with 1+ years experience in analytical role

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

  • Experience working with analytical tools like SQL, R, Python, etc.
  • Experience in visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau etc.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
