Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute complex transactions and resolve complex problems. Oversee the establishment of new securities, compliance rules, new accounts, and or new reports to ensure readiness for trading, collateral, margin exposure, reconciliation, settlement and/or the client reporting process. Identify and resolve complex issues associated with client data, trade breaks, 60% reconciliation breaks, and/or compliance breaches. Prepare reports and maintain controls in alignment with internal policies and clients needs. Act as escalation point and subject matter expert for investment operations activities. Participate in projects.
  • Interface with internal and external personnel including senior operations staff, legal, relationship management, IT, banks, brokers, custodians, portfolio managers, traders, regulatory agencies and/or industry contracts to educate, provide direction, influence results and decisions, obtain information and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the areas of technical functions, research of issues, problem solving, formulating recommendations, independent decision making and effective communication. Serve as a subject matter expert/contact and team resource.
  • Perform other job related duties or special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business required.

2.4-6 years of work experience in trade management, trade support, Collateral & Margin functions for a similar role in financial services, with experience across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives)

  • Strong Knowledge on Derivatives, Cash, FX and Equities
  • Product knowledge in TRS, IRS & XCCY IRS, Credit, Cash, FX (Options, Forwards and NDFs), Futures.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial services, investment products, securities processing, and information technology required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills essential
  • Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving, planning, time management, and decision-making abilities, capable of producing accurate and timely information independently.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining strong working relationships, exercising flexibility, and effectively communicating with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Ability to work closely with portfolio managers and traders under pressure in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Capable of managing multiple, complex tasks, prioritizing effectively, and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Additional Information

Preferable to have someone with hands on exposure to CRD or Charles River IMS
