Job Description
Lead, develop, and motivate engineering teams responsible for the systems design and development of Avionics software. You will inspire your team of highly performing system engineers to collaborate with Honeywell Aero engineering teams and create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of Systems development/model base development and driving Technical Solution improvement resulting in quality/Cost and cycle time improvements across Displays and graphics products/programs. Responsible for technical solution development (design & interface definition) in collaboration with Honeywell business partners.
Develop, mentor and inspire a team of engineers who work to develop innovative products and technologies.
Establish strong MOS with Chiefs engineers, Systems experts, Software Architects, Human factors engineer and Software test engineering and drive best practices across the programs.
Influence & challenge engineer teams to effectively solve complex engineering problems.
Build and guide highly talented engineering teams to deliver exceptional solutions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Analysis of customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture, capture requirements, perform integration/systems/functional testing, and conduct design reviews.
- Responsible for technical solution development in collaboration with Honeywell business partners and other stakeholders. Demonstrate thought leadership with focus on core architecture with increased reusability and drive reduction in reapplication cost across multiple programs
- Good Understanding of avionics design, product development and application as well system integration and certification.
- Development of systems and software requirements from Application Specifications.
- Development and execution of system test cases on the integration benches.
- Identifying and debugging issues at the system level and understanding interaction with other aircraft systems.
- Good troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues arising from Applications/Flight testing.
- Active participation and contribution in driving sub systems/systems integration/simulation bench; ability to co-ordinate with diverse set of team.
- Should have thorough understanding on System engineering, standards and Certification (Includes DO-178B/C, ARP4754).
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in leading the development of system requirements
- Good technical knowledge of Avionics Architectures/platforms
- Hands-on experience in system level testing, integration or sub-system benches
- Knowledge of any Configuration Management System such as DOORS, BitBucket, SVN etc would be an added advantage.
- Experience working in life cycle stages of Systems Life cycle & AGILE exposure.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.
QUALIFICATION: BE/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech Experience
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years of Work experience on Aerospace systems
