Sr. Advanced Project Engineer
We have an opportunity at Honeywell Technology Solutions, Bangalore, India for a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer within the Aerospace – Engineering Strategy and Integration (ES&I) business unit. The Sr. Advanced Project Engineer job responsibilities will include
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, forecasting, and working with cross functional teams to execute strategy, and licensing projects.
- Coordinate with IT verticals (Network, DCN, data center, application servers, service providers) to integrate/ transform engineering lab and tool systems
- Support site restructuring projects - driving productivity and synergistic benefits for the company
- Support in engineering aspects of due diligence for mergers, acquisitions and company footprints.
- Support in Engineering tool chain transformation driving proof of concepts, deploying Model Based tool chains
- Engage with key stakeholders in engineering (product owners, COE focal, product chiefs, Transition chiefs) to ensure that the transitions and transformation meet requirements from engineering and other stakeholders.
- Drive projects according to Honeywell standards AP-1120, STP 2.0 and AG-5932 with focus on acceleration.
- Provide periodic project metrics, and communications
- Manage cost and schedule variances and be accountable to meet baselines.
- Be a team player, share experiences, have a learning attitude.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in any discipline
- Project Management Professional or equivalent certificate desired.
Skills And Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in strategic projects like company restructuring, digital transformations, IT verticals in aerospace or similar industrial company.
- Project/ program leadership for 5+ years.
- Experience with working and coordinating IT verticals
- Work in fast paced and dynamic environment with a strong bias for action.
- Ability to manage several concurrent projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills including the ability to integrate diverse opinions, manage priorities, and drive initiatives
- Willingness to travel (domestic/ international) up to 10% of the time.
- Knowledge and experience in using PLM Teamcenter, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, MS Projects, Advanced Excel, & SAP.
- Experience with supplier technical management.
