Finance Manager (Sage Accounting)
A leader in Professional Services & Financial Outsourcing, operating in the accounting, payroll and bookkeeping sector serving domestic and international clients. We are hiring an on-site Finance Manager in India to own accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, and optimise financial controls using Sage accounting platforms.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle accounting on Sage platforms: general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.
- Drive month-end and year-end close processes; prepare timely financial statements, variance analysis and management reports aligned to Indian GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage statutory compliance including GST, TDS and other tax filings; coordinate with tax advisors and external auditors to ensure accurate submissions.
- Own cash flow forecasting, working capital management and banking relationships to optimise liquidity and day-to-day treasury operations.
- Configure and maintain Sage system settings, implement process improvements and lead ERP upgrades or third-party integrations to improve efficiency and controls.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team; define SOPs, enforce internal controls and support statutory and internal audit requests.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have: Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting operations using Sage accounting platforms and ERP workflows.
- Must-Have: Strong expertise in month-end close, financial statement preparation and management reporting.
- Must-Have: Hands-on knowledge of GST compliance, TDS coordination and statutory filings in India.
- Must-Have: Demonstrated ability to configure and support Sage implementations, customisations or integrations.
- Must-Have: Experience overseeing audits and maintaining internal controls and SOX-ready documentation.
- Must-Have: Capability to lead and develop accounting teams while driving process standardisation and automation.
- Preferred: Professional accounting qualification or equivalent finance certification.
- Preferred: Exposure to multinational accounting standards or multi-currency accounting.
- Preferred: Familiarity with BI/reporting tools for financial dashboards and analytics.
