Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the complete accounting function of real estate projects, ensuring statutory compliance, accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and strong coordination with banks and financial institutions. The role requires in-depth expertise in accounting, taxation, regulatory compliance, and banking operations specific to the real estate sector, along with proven team management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations includingAccounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closures.
  • Manageend-to-end project accountingfor real estate developments, including land cost, construction cost, and project-wise profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements includingGST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other applicable laws.
  • HandleGST returns, reconciliations (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, 2B), and coordination with tax consultants and auditors.
  • Prepare and reviewmonthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
  • Monitorcash flow planning, fund utilization, budgeting, and cost controlfor ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Manage all bank-related activities, including:
  • Coordination with banks and financial institutions forproject loans, construction finance, term loans.
  • Preparation and submission ofloan documentation, CMA data, financial statements, and stock statements
  • Monitoringloan disbursements, interest calculations, EMI schedules, and repayment tracking
  • Handlingescrow accounts, RERA-designated bank accounts, and project-specific bank accounts
  • Liaising with banks forsanction letters, renewals, enhancements, and compliance reporting
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensuretimely audit closures(statutory, internal, GST, tax audits).
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide the accounts team; assign work, review deliverables, and ensure process adherence.
  • Ensuretimely vendor payments, verification of invoices, and effectivecustomer receivable management, including follow-ups.
  • Liaise withstatutory authorities, bankers, consultants, and regulatory bodiesas required.
  • Providefinancial analysis, variance reports, and decision-making supportto management.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge ofaccounting standards and real estate accounting practices.
  • Hands-on experience inGST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
  • Solid exposure tobanking operations, project finance, loan documentation, and escrow management.
  • Proficiency inTally, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.
  • Strong leadership, team-handling, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Qualifications

  • CMA / M.Com / PGDM(Finance)/MBA (Finance)preferred.
  • 810 years of relevant experience, preferably in thereal estate industry.
