Role Title: Senior Accountant – Oracle Financing Division (OFD)

The Corporate Accounting team supports global financial controllership, accounting operations, compliance, and reporting activities across Oracle's worldwide legal entities and business divisions.
As part of this team, the Oracle Financing Division (OFD) accounting function plays a critical role in ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of OFD financing receivables, deal entries, and related financial results. The team partners closely with Global Controller Organization, Technical Accounting, External Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Global Business Finance, Legal, and OFD Operations to maintain strong financial governance and compliance with US GAAP and audit requirements.
The Senior Accountant – OFD will support the Financial Controllership function for Oracle Financing Division by performing and reviewing monthly and quarterly reconciliations, accounting entries, reporting, and financial analysis for global OFD accounts.
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting of OFD receivables, monthly income, deal-related entries, and financial results in accordance with US GAAP. The position will also support management reporting, audit queries, SEC reporting requirements, and ongoing process improvements.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations for global OFD accounts, OFD deals, financing receivables, and related accounting balances.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries related to OFD receivables, income recognition, inter-company transactions, cash, and general ledger activities.
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
- Analyze and interpret OFD financial results, identify key trends or variances, and present meaningful insights to middle management, senior management, and auditors.
- Support SEC reporting, external reporting, internal audit, and external audit requirements by providing accurate schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure OFD accounting entries and reconciliations comply with internal controls, audit specifications, corporate accounting policies, and external reporting requirements.
- Act as a liaison between Oracle's global legal entities and Oracle Financing Division to support accurate accounting and cross-functional issue resolution.
- Participate in the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of internal procedures, accounting processes, and special projects.
- Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in international accounting, corporate accounting, controllership, or financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and US GAAP reporting requirements.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable, cash, and inter-company transactions.
- Ability to support monthly and quarterly close processes with accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial results and explain variances clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently within defined policies and procedures.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional finance teams, management, auditors, and global stakeholders.
Good-to-Have
- Chartered Accountant qualification or progress toward CA certification.
- Experience with Oracle Financial Systems.
- Experience with comparable enterprise accounting or ERP systems.
- Exposure to SEC reporting, external reporting, or audit support.
- Prior experience in financing, leasing, receivables accounting, or global controllership operations.
- Experience working with multinational teams and global legal entities.
