Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Lead to drive data strategy, reporting, and analytics initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in BI tools, data modeling, and analytics, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders. This role requires leadership capabilities to manage BI initiatives, mentor team members, and ensure best practices in data governance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end BI development including dashboards, reports, and data-driven solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and reporting layers.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into meaningful analytics solutions.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting systems.
- Optimize queries, reports, and overall BI platform performance.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and pipeline efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior team members while promoting BI best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles.
- Strong expertise in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Domo.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets and data pipelines.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Looker (preferred BI tool but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with LookML and semantic data modeling.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Python or scripting for data analysis.
- Exposure to big data technologies such as Spark.
Leadership Expectations
- Ability to lead BI initiatives and drive project delivery.
- Experience mentoring or managing team members.
