As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented SQL and Power BI Developer to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst with 23 years of hands-on experience in SQL and Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data modeling, report/dashboard creation, and advanced analytics. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions and insightful visualizations to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
SQL Development:
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas and stored procedures.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and profiling.
- Work with large datasets and ensure performance tuning of queries.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Power BI Reporting:
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Implement DAX formulas for advanced calculations and KPIs.
- Create data models and relationships within Power BI.
- Integrate multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, etc.) into Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and visual appeal of reports.
- Publish and manage Power BI reports and datasets in the Power BI Service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 23 years of experience in SQL and Power BI development.
- Strong understanding of database concepts and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing performance.
- Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and Power BI Gateway.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira).
