Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
SQL Lead Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise database and data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL development, data modeling, data warehousing, cloud databases, and ETL/ELT processes, along with proven leadership capabilities to guide teams and deliver scalable, high-performance data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SQL development, database design, and performance tuning initiatives
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Implement and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and best practices
- Architect and optimize data warehouse solutions, including dimensional and relational models
- Assess existing SQL and data architectures and recommend improvements for scalability and performance
- Work hands-on with cloud databases such as Azure SQL and AWS RDS
- Design, review, and support ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar tools
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into SQL-based solutions
- Support data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives
- Operate in an Agile / DevOps environment, supporting CI/CD and release processes
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code and design reviews
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong expertise in SQL and T-SQL
- Advanced knowledge of RDBMS and database design
- Proven experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
- Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, Informatica)
- Familiarity with data architecture, data governance, and metadata management
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
