About the Role
We are looking for an SQL Expert (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on database development, query optimization, data analysis, data engineering, and business intelligence workflows.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to SQL queries, database schemas, stored procedures, data transformations, reporting systems, ETL pipelines, and performance optimization, helping improve how AI models understand and generate robust database solutions.
Your expertise will contribute to improving AI systems used for intelligent coding assistants, analytics platforms, enterprise databases, and data-driven decision-making systems.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated SQL queries, database designs, and data workflows
- Review peer-developed deliverables to improve AI research quality and consistency
- Assess AI outputs for correctness, efficiency, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Identify inefficient queries, indexing issues, normalization problems, schema design flaws, data inconsistencies, or performance bottlenecks in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Support workflows involving database design, SQL development, ETL processes, reporting systems, and data analytics
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on databases, analytics, and data management
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of joins, subqueries, indexing, views, stored procedures, triggers, normalization, and query optimization
- Experience with database design, data modeling, reporting, and analytics workflows
- Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehousing concepts, and business intelligence platforms is preferred
- Knowledge of Python, Power BI, Tableau, cloud databases, or big data technologies is a plus
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
