About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Developer with strong expertise in Oracle and PL/SQL to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of database architecture, SQL optimization, and Unix scripting. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing database objects and queries to ensure high performance and reliability. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects, including data migration, ETL processes, and system enhancements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of proven experience in Oracle database development and PL/SQL programming.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, indexing, joins, exceptions, and debugging techniques.
• Experience with SQL*Loader, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environment and scripting.
• Familiarity with ETL tools, data migration activities, and relevant technologies.
• Knowledge of Autosys, Control-M, and automation tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments is desirable.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database objects such as stored procedures, packages, functions, views, and cursors.
• Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency, ensuring minimal response time and resource utilization.
• Perform database tuning and troubleshooting to resolve performance issues.
• Create and manage ETL workflows, data loads, and migration activities.
• Develop and automate Unix scripts to support database operations and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support deployment activities and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
