About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Expert to join our dynamic team at Tata Consultancy Services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining relational databases, with a strong focus on SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. This role demands a proactive individual who can transform raw data into actionable insights, develop and optimize complex queries, and support data-driven decision-making processes. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience working with SQL and relational databases. A strong understanding of database design principles, query optimization, and data warehousing concepts is essential. Candidates should have proven expertise in writing stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions. Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or similar platforms is preferred. Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform will be considered a plus. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
The SQL Expert will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to facilitate data ingestion from various sources. They will clean, transform, and structure raw data to ensure it is reliable, consistent, and suitable for analysis. Monitoring data pipelines for failures, debugging errors, and ensuring high system uptime are critical aspects of this role. The candidate will manage SQL and NoSQL databases, data lakes, and data warehouses, including designing schemas and optimizing database performance. Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions will be a key part of the job. Additionally, the role involves documenting data processes, implementing security measures, and continuously improving data management practices to support the organization's evolving needs.
