Job Description

Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases for high availability and performance.
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions to support application development.
Optimize database performance by analysing query execution plans and indexing strategies.
Perform data analysis and extraction to support business requirements.
Collaborate with application developers to create database schemas, tables, and indexes.
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, including long-running queries and deadlocks.
Implement data security and backup/recovery strategies to protect critical information.
Perform database migration, replication, and data synchronization between different environments.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Relevant experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and writing complex SQL queries.
Hands-on experience with RDBMS like SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization.
Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, Azure Synapse or Power BI for data reporting and visualization (optional but preferred).
Ability to optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex database issues.
Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git, TFS).
