About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team at Synechron. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle database development, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and optimizing complex database objects and procedures. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including application developers, database administrators, and business analysts to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance database solutions. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining PL/SQL code, creating automation scripts, and supporting reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects within a collaborative environment that values innovation and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL development, including writing complex procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and cursors.
- Extensive expertise in Oracle Database development and management.
- Solid knowledge of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and understanding of execution plans.
- Proven development experience, supporting the full lifecycle from analysis to deployment.
- Experience working with large data volumes and transactional systems.
- Hands-on experience in Shell Scripting within Unix/Linux environments.
- Current hands-on experience in Shell scripting for job automation, batch processing, and file handling.
- Exposure to reconciliation development, report generation, and mismatch analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code based on detailed business requirements and specifications.
- Perform end-to-end database development activities, including analysis, coding, testing, and deployment of database objects.
- Optimize existing PL/SQL programs to enhance system performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain Shell scripts for scheduling, automation, and process orchestration.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with application teams, database administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support reconciliation processes by developing reports, scripts, and tools to ensure data accuracy and identify mismatches.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues and implement necessary improvements.
- Maintain documentation related to database objects, processes, and automation scripts.
- Stay updated with the latest Oracle database features, scripting techniques, and industry best practices.
