Hi,
I am seeking an experienced Database Developer to join my client's team on a permanent basis in an offshore capacity, 100% remote from India. This role sits within a data-centric financial services environment, focused on processing and managing structured data within the securitisation market.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL Server expertise, a sharp analytical mindset, and experience working with large-scale datasets where accuracy and auditability are critical. This is a hands-on role combining development, data investigation, and production support within a small Agile team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise SQL-based data processing solutions
- Investigate and resolve data issues raised by internal stakeholders
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and correction across large datasets
- Troubleshoot production issues and deploy fixes
- Improve performance of queries, transformations, and database structures
- Contribute to enhancements in data pipelines and internal tooling
- Support internal users with data-related queries and problem resolution
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong T-SQL skills (query writing, performance tuning, indexing)
- Experience with Azure SQL Database
- Experience handling structured data formats (CSV, XML)
- Experience using Git for source control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with data anomalies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Azure environments (storage, data services, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD or DevOps practices
- PowerShell or scripting experience
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Exposure to financial services or regulatory data environments
