About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer & Database Architect to lead the design, development, optimization, and governance of enterprise-scale Microsoft SQL Server database environments. This role will be responsible for architecting high-performance data solutions, optimizing complex queries, and supporting mission-critical applications across large-scale systems.

The ideal candidate combines deep SQL development expertise with strong database architecture experience, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms that support business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Database Architecture & Design

• Design and implement scalable, high-availability SQL Server database architecture

• Define data models, schema standards, and database design best practices

• Lead database strategy for performance, scalability, and reliability

• Architect solutions for OLTP, data integration, and reporting workloads

• Establish governance standards for database development and deployment

SQL Development

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues

• Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions

• Design efficient indexing strategies and query optimization techniques

• Build data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL Server tools

• Implement data validation and integrity mechanisms

Performance Optimization

•Monitor and optimize query execution plans, indexing, and database performance

•Implement partitioning, indexing strategies, and caching mechanisms

•Conduct database tuning and capacity planning

•Ensure optimal performance for large-scale transactional systems

Data Integration & Automation

•Integrate databases with enterprise applications and APIs

•Implement automation for database maintenance, monitoring, and deployments

•Support data migration and modernization initiatives

•Design and maintain ETL/ELT processes

Security & Governance

•Implement database security best practices

•Manage access control, encryption, and auditing

•Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance policies

Collaboration & Leadership

•Collaborate with application developers, architects, and DevOps teams

•Provide technical leadership and mentoring for SQL developers

•Participate in architecture reviews and system design discussions

•Support Agile development teams and CI/CD data workflows
