Job Title: DB DevOps Engineer ( SQL Database administrator with DevOps and automation)

Key Responsibilities

Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases in production and non-production environments

Design, implement, and manage automated backup pipelines for distributed SQL Server instances

Automate SQL Server operational and repetitive tasks using T-SQL and PowerShell

Integrate SQL Server health metrics, monitoring, and backup status into centralized dashboards

Participate in the design and implementation of new database programs or enhancements

Support database migrations using industry-standard migration tools

Work within multi-tier, distributed enterprise architecture environments

Participate in functional test planning and execution for assigned applications and projects

Ensure database reliability, security, performance tuning, and availability

Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

Required Skills & Experience

57 years of overall experience in database/DevOps roles

Minimum 3 years of hands-on DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server

At least 1 year of experience in multi-tier, distributed enterprise architectures

Strong understanding of relational database technologies

Expertise in SQL Server 2025 and SSIS

Strong hands-on experience with T-SQL and PowerShell scripting

Experience with database migration tools

Knowledge of backup, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning best practices

Soft Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail and ownership of deliverables

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
