We are looking for a skilled SQL DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize databases for high performance, security, and availability. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth database operations, resolve issues efficiently, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage databases (SQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle)
- Monitor database performance and optimize complex queries for efficiency
- Handle database backup, recovery, and security management
- Ensure high availability and minimal downtime of database systems
- Implement and maintain High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and replication solutions
- Support application development teams in troubleshooting database-related issues
- Assist in query optimization, schema design, and data modeling
- Perform regular database maintenance, patching, and health checks
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including schemas, stored procedures, and best practices
- Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with data governance policies
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and operational issues
- Provide on-call support as required for critical production issues
Required Skills Set
- Strong hands-on SQL DBA experience (5–8 years)
- Expertise in database performance tuning & optimization
- Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and security management
- Experience with HA, DR, and replication strategies
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell / Python / PowerShell preferred)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of database architecture and data modeling

- B.Tech / BCA / MCA / B.Sc (IT/CS)
