We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database integrity, security, and performance while supporting business operations and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server database systems.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Manage user access, roles, and security permissions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and ensure high availability.
- Apply patches, updates, and service packs to maintain system stability.
- Collaborate with developers to improve database integration.
- Plan for future database expansion and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL DBA.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, database management, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
- Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate are a plus.
