Job Summary:

We're looking for a motivated Junior SQL Server DBA / Data Engineer with hands‑on experience managing and optimizing SQL Server databases across on‑premises and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone comfortable supporting database administration tasks end‑to‑end, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and data pipeline development.

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's in Computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 2-3 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration on both On-prem and cloud databases.
• Experience in the installation, configuration, upgrade, patching of SQL Server Instances, backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime.
• Monitor database health, performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing tuning solutions.
• Expertise in T-SQL – Writing, debugging and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, views and triggers
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Database security – Implementing and enforcing database security polices including authentication, authorization, roles and auditing
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Experience with designing and developing data flows using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services, ADF/Similar tools and Python.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with development teams
• Strong communication skills
• Coordination with ISMS core team to support ISMS activities and implantation strategies at the company.

Preferred Skills:

• SQL Server database administration certifications
• Knowledge of DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines
