Must Have:
- Knowledge on SQL Always On/Clustering/Log Shipping/Replication
- Knowledge on DB backup/restore
- Knowledge on DB health check/error log troubleshooting/performance tuning/capacity analysis/access provisioning.
- Knowledge on SQL Upgrade/Migration/Patching/Installation
- Should be flexible to work in 24*7 support model.
- Should be aware of standard ITIL process i.e. incident management, change management, etc.
Good to have:
- Exposure on SQL DB Encryption
- Exposure on DB Backup/restore through Net Backup
- Exposure on Index rebuild/reorg/update statistics
- Exposure on SQL Profiler
- Exposure on SSRS/SSIS/SSAS
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting of incidents related to DBA component
- Implement changes in DB infrastructure.
- Take part in analysis and designing for new project requirement
- Managing escalations in crisis situation.
