SQA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of 3D desktop applications through objective and comprehensive testing.
• Design manual test strategies and test cases based on software requirements specifications.
• Execute manual tests, including visual inspection of 3D objects, identifying defects and patterns with a curiosity-driven mindset.
• Act as a QA stakeholder during project-level discussions, offering input from early concept through release and scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Help define product success criteria and contribute to product planning and specification reviews.
• Work closely with Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to translate manual tests into automated scripts.
• Create and manage bugs throughout their lifecycle using tools such as JIRA.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on manual testing experience, especially with complex desktop applications.
• Previous experience testing 3D/CAD/CAM software or similar visual desktop platforms.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum teams.
• Deep understanding of QA best practices, testing processes, and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly learn complex systems.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow and contribute to test strategies and plans.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to 3D/CAD applications such as SolidWorks, Geomagic, or Magics.
• Experience with test automation in Python using pytest framework.
• Knowledge of non-functional testing, such as performance and scalability testing.
• Experience working in distributed teams across global locations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.
