The Sports Program Manager will be responsible for the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and smooth execution of the school sports curriculum and sports development program within Manav Rachna International School. The role requires close coordination with sports coaches, school leadership, students, parents, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality sports training and holistic student development.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of multiple sports disciplines, experience in grassroots sports development, and the ability to manage sports operations, curriculum execution, competitions, talent identification, and coach supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Sports Curriculum Management
- Plan, implement, and monitor the school sports curriculum across all classes and sports.
- Ensure age-appropriate and structured sports training programs are delivered effectively.
- Coordinate with coaches for weekly, monthly, and annual training plans.
- Monitor curriculum delivery and maintain quality standards across all sports.
Coach Coordination & Supervision
- Supervise and support coaches in conducting effective training sessions.
- Conduct regular meetings with coaches to review progress, attendance, discipline, and performance.
- Guide coaches in lesson planning, session structure, and student engagement.
- Ensure smooth coordination among coaches, school staff, and management.
Grassroots Sports Development
- Develop and execute grassroots sports programs focused on participation, skill development, and long-term athlete growth.
- Identify sporting talent at an early stage and create athlete development pathways.
- Promote physical literacy and sports participation among all students.
- Design initiatives to increase student engagement in sports and fitness activities.
Sports Operations & Event Management
- Plan and organize intra-school and inter-school competitions, sports days, leagues, camps, and tournaments.
- Manage sports schedules, venue allocation, equipment usage, and operational logistics.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with vendors and external agencies whenever required.
Student Development & Performance Monitoring
- Maintain records of student participation, attendance, performance, and progress.
- Support coaches in conducting assessments and fitness evaluations.
- Monitor student discipline, safety, and well-being during sports activities.
- Encourage holistic development including teamwork, leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare regular reports on program implementation, student participation, achievements, and coach performance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school authorities regarding sports activities and student progress.
- Assist in preparing annual sports calendars, reports, presentations, and development plans.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all sports activities follow safety guidelines and child protection standards.
- Monitor risk management practices during training sessions and competitions.
- Ensure first-aid readiness and emergency protocols are followed.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, Sports Science, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in sports program management, school sports, academy operations, or grassroots sports development.
- Experience in handling multiple sports programs and managing coaching teams is preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience in schools, sports academies, grassroots sports organizations, or sports NGOs.
- Exposure to curriculum planning and sports event management will be an added advantage.
Working Conditions
