The Brief:
Proictus Management Pvt. Ltd. is a sports management company founded in 2014. The company was formed with a vision to develop special initiatives and projects in the grassroots sector of sports for the purpose of supporting talent development. Proictus first flagship initiative was the Pro School League, a five-month-long, home-and-away format School Football league modelled along the lines of National football leagues. Then came the Community League in 2018 with which we aim at creating a sustainable platform for grassroots football development in India.
We are looking at like-minded individuals who have passion and drive for developing sport in India. This is a full-time paid internship in Bengaluru.
We are looking for someone who:
- Lives, breathes & eats sports and is perfectly ok to work his way up the industry by learning the tricks of the trade right from the grassroots.
- Someone who loves the idea of developing sports in India.
- Someone who is looking forward to having a career in the modern-day sports management industry.
- Understands the difference between sales and operational execution and (based on the nature of the project) can be proficient at both.
- Understanding of social media platforms.
- Knows how to handle and implement feedback from senior members of the team as well as customers.
- Can plan and coordinate events
- Has an understanding of sport and management of it.
- Collaborate with the members of other departments to see a task through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Team Coordination
- Make outbound calls to academies, schools, and football teams to promote upcoming leagues and tournaments.
- Assist in onboarding teams, answering queries, and sharing relevant information and documentation.
- Maintain a database of leads, calls made, and follow-ups.
2. Matchday Operations
- Assist in setting up the field and venue for match days (e.g., equipment, banners, cones, team tents).
- Help in player check-ins, team registrations, and schedule management.
- Coordinate with referees and team representatives for smooth matchday execution.
- Support the operations team in real-time issue resolution during match days.
- Assist in closing operations equipment packing, data collection, and venue clean-up.
3. Logistics & Inventory Support
- Help manage and transport matchday logistics and materials.
- Maintain inventory records for jerseys, footballs, cones, bibs, etc.
4. Media & Documentation
- Capture basic photos/videos of matchday activities (if required).
- Support the social media team by providing real-time updates from the ground.
- Help with post-match reporting, score tracking, and performance data collation.
5. Administrative Assistance
- Assist in preparation of fixtures, matchday documents, and certificates.
- Coordinate with design/content teams for necessary league communication.
- Help in updating team sheets, scorecards, and standings.
6. Community Engagement
- Be an on-ground liaison with teams, parents, and players to ensure a welcoming, professional environment.
- Collect feedback and insights from teams to improve operations.
Qualifications
- Good Communication Skills
- Punctual and diligent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite or similar software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience playing or organizing a sport in the past.
- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to stay highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment.
