Job Summary

The Professor of Sports Law will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, academic evaluation, and student engagement activities within the Sports Management program. The role includes developing industry-relevant academic content, assessing student performance, organizing industrial exposure, and contributing to institutional academic excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

Academic & Teaching Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Sports Law and related subjects.

• Design, develop, and continuously update curriculum and course materials in line with academic standards and industry needs.

• Prepare teaching plans, lesson notes, and learning outcomes for assigned subjects.

• Design question papers, assignments, quizzes, and case-based evaluations.

• Conduct internal assessments, evaluations, and grading of students.

• Set semester examination papers and ensure academic integrity.

• Supervise examinations including invigilation, evaluation, and moderation processes.

• Guide and mentor students academically and professionally

Student Engagement & Industry Exposure

• Organize and conduct industrial visits, court visits, and interactions with sports organizations and legal firms.

• Facilitate guest lectures, workshops, and seminars with industry professionals.

• Encourage students to participate in internships, moot courts, and competitions.

Academic Administration

• Assist in curriculum committees, accreditation processes, and academic audits.

• Maintain academic records and documentation as per institutional requirements.

• Participate in department meetings and institutional activities

Research & Professional Development

• Conduct research and publish in recognized journals.

• Participate in conferences, FDPs, and professional development programs.

• Stay updated on latest developments in sports law and sports management.

Qualifications

• PhD / JD / LL.M in Law with specialization in Sports Law.

• Teaching or industry experience in sports-related legal practice preferred.

• Strong subject expertise in sports law and related legal domains.

• Ability to create engaging academic content.

• Organized, ethical, and detail-oriented approach to assessment and examinations.

• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
