Role Description The SPM Designer will be responsible for designing and developing SPM (Special Purpose Machine) components and assemblies, creating detailed CAD drawings, and preparing technical documentation to support manufacturing and installation. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with production, quality, and project teams to understand requirements, refining designs for functionality and safety, and ensuring alignment with industry standards and client specifications. The role involves reviewing existing designs for improvements, supporting troubleshooting during machine assembly, and maintaining accurate design records and revisions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Manesar, requiring close coordination with shop-floor and engineering teams.
Qualifications

• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles for Special Purpose Machines, including component layout, mechanisms, and assembly design.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and basic production methods relevant to machine building.
• Ability to create and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documents in a clear and accurate manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze design issues and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in an on-site industrial setting.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; prior experience in SPM design or machine tool design is preferred.
• Attention to detail, commitment to safety standards, and readiness to work full time on site in Manesar.
