Job Role Spices Plant Sterilization Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Spices plant sterilization Supervisor to join our production team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in spice processing operations and the ability to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient plant functioning.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the spice processing industry (mandatory)
- Educational Qualification: Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- Strong technical knowledge of spice sterilisation, grinding, cleaning, and processing operations
- Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety Standards, and Hygiene practices
- Ability to effectively monitor production lines, manage manpower, and control process parameters
- Skilled in maintaining daily production records, process documentation, and statutory compliance
- Capability to coordinate efficiently with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams
- Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment with responsibility, discipline, and commitment
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day spice processing activities, ensuring all operations are carried out according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor and control process parameters for grinding, blending, sterilization, cleaning, and packing to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Manage manpower by allocating tasks, supervising operators, and ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene practices.
- Conduct regular plant inspections, identify process deviations, and implement corrective actions to prevent production breakdowns.
- Ensure strict compliance with HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records such as batch production reports, machine logbooks, equipment cleaning records, and quality checklists in ERP
- Collaborate closely with the QA team to ensure products meet quality specifications and assist in root cause analysis for non-conformities.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure equipment health.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce wastage, and optimise plant efficiency.
- Ensure timely production output and resource utilisation in line with production schedules and company standards.
