Speech Therapist

Job description:

• Perform comprehensive assessments for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in clients, utilizing standardized tests and specialized evaluation tools.

• Employ diverse techniques and exercises to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, expression, and pragmatics in patients.

• Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods for clients with severe communication impairments.

• Manage a range of disorders including voice disorders, dysarthria, aphasia, apraxia, language disorders, and dysphagia in adult patients with neurological deficits.

• Educate patients and families on speech disorders and available therapies while maintaining detailed progress notes and updating daily documentation.

• Stay updated on advancements in the field through conferences, research, and professional networks to provide the best care, evaluating patient progress and modifying therapy programs as needed.
