Company Description Bambino Therapy is a speech and language practice based in Bengaluru that focuses on communication as a means of connection, autonomy, and self-advocacy. The team is dedicated to providing individualized support that respects each child's unique needs and honors their voice. Bambino Therapy specializes in Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), offering child-led, play-based therapy rather than compliance-driven approaches. The practice aims to equip children with tools that allow their own dreams to guide them, while consistently presuming competence and celebrating meaningful communication milestones.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist located in Bengaluru. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide assessment and therapy for children with a range of communication and language needs, including those using GLP and AAC approaches. Daily responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering play-based sessions, and documenting progress in a clear and timely manner. The role involves collaborating closely with families and caregivers, coaching them on strategies to support communication at home and in the community. The Speech Language Pathologist will also participate in multidisciplinary discussions, contribute to program development, and engage in ongoing professional learning aligned with child-led, neurodiversity-affirming practices.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and Speech to assess and treat a wide range of pediatric communication needs.
  • Candidates should possess competencies in Communication Disorders and Language Disorders, including experience with individualized, child-centered intervention plans.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge and clinical skills related to Dysphagia, including safe feeding and swallowing management where relevant.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity or interest in Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and be willing to learn and apply these approaches.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, with appropriate licensure/registration as required by local regulations.
  • Strong observational, documentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate assessment findings into practical therapy goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to child-led, neurodiversity-affirming, non-compliance-based practice.
  • Experience working with children and families in clinical, school, or community settings; prior pediatric AAC or GLP experience is an advantage.
