Job Description

Position Objectives and Summary

To provide proactive administrative handling of reinsurance business and to establish and ensure best practices in operations. The primary focus is on delivering high-quality administrative support, improving efficiency, and acting as a business expert on Swiss Re tools and processes.


Key Objectives

  • Responsible for efficient and high-quality administrative handling of the reinsurance business for clients.
  • Provide seamless support to Client Markets, Underwriting, and Pricing teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Act as a business expert for Swiss Re's administrative tools, processes, and guidelines.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and provide solutions with clear documentation and standards.


Main Tasks and Activities

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and regional BS teams for smooth functioning of end-to-end origination processes for Treaty and Facultative specialty lines (Engineering, Marine, Agro, Credit & Surety, Aviation).
  • Support Client Markets operations by ensuring standardized, timely, and quality reporting of market units.
  • Demonstrate proficient understanding of E2E processes, reinsurance business linkage, and contribution to strategic goals.
  • Provide technical support on Treaty/Fac new and renewal processes, including:
  • Contract wording review support
  • Induction and submission ITC support
  • Treaty/fac system input and updates
  • Ensure prompt documentation of Treaty/Fac in relevant systems and completion of required actions.
  • Coordinate pending actions with regional BS team and support Client Markets and related functions (e.g., Products, BM, TA, CAS, Claims, Finance).
  • Provide administrative support in tools usage, data entry, record management, and ensure data quality.
  • Knowledge of underwriting and pricing tools is a plus.
  • Support internal and external audit compliance.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with broader BS teams across APAC/EMEA/Americas.


Job Requirements

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Insurance/Reinsurance, with a sound understanding of reinsurance concepts and business processes.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and experienced in working with Client Managers, Underwriters, and Client Underwriters.
  • Familiarity with ORM/RCSA is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of business applications and contract wording interpretation.

Education

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in a relevant field.
  • Insurance certifications are an added advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

Language Skills

  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
