Loyalty Senior Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer the incumbent will be responsible for leadingdriving the development implementation and operationalization of enhancements to an existing financial services client The incumbent will need a deep understanding of the platforms design and possess the skills required to convert business objectives or problems into low level technical design necessary for development work to commence The appropriate candidate will also be responsible for ensuring timely quality deliverables from a team of engineers while working closely with project managers business analysts and quality engineers The candidate will need to be a handson contributor who can dive deep when needed possessing the ability to both author and explain complex code demonstrating more than a conceptual knowledge of the underlying technology


Responsibilities


Enhancement Support


oCollaborate with developers project manager business analysts and business users in conceptualizing estimating and developing new software applications and enhancements


oEffort estimation and timeline for changesfixes


oCode management including definition of branches merging strategy and phase gate checkin process


oImpact analysis of requested changes or fixes to the application itself dependent functionalities and other platform components


oCreate andor review technical design documents to ensure changes and impacts are comprehensively represented


oParticipation in sprint planning daily standups retrospectives and demos


oUnderstanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements and how they translate into technical architecture


oCode Review of changes being promoted to new environments


oBreakdown of lowlevel design into user stories and tasks


oCollaboration with QA team to define test cases metrics and resolve questions about test results


Operational Support


oPeriodically take part in an oncall rotation


oOngoing operational support for applications in production deployed onpremises and based on IISWindows Technologies


oExcellent analytical and problemsolving skills specific to diagnosing the root cause of application errors or other behavior based on limited information


oIndependently troubleshoot both lower environment and production issues


oContribute to incident investigation and RCA findings


oExcellent multitasking skills surrounding competing priorities and workstreams


oEnvironment setup and deployment strategy to multiple lower environments and production


oAccountable for development and maintenance of applications with technologies involving NET Framework


Skills Required


Lead by example handson contributor who can dive deep when needed


Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science


5 years experience in full stack NETIIS based development hosted onprem


oFront end development experience with Ajax HTML CSS JavaScript jQuery and relevant frontend technologies


oStrong C fundamentals NET AspNet MVC REST and SOAP based API programming


oWindows Service based processing queues schedulers


oExperience with LINQ


oExperience with Entity Framework


oStrong skills in writing SQL queries OracleSQL Server


oSoftware Development Process ObjectOriented Design OOD


Experience with IIS hosting fundamentals app pools config certificates client server architecture Windows auth scenarios


Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies in AIArtificial Intelligence automation


Solid knowledge of web architectural and design patterns


Build and maintain automation frameworks for testing deployment CICD and data processing pipelines


Familiar with profiling code coverage logging debugging common IDEs Azure DevOps Git Microsoft Visual Studio and other development tools


Familiar with Agile Methodologies SCRUM and Strong communication skills verbal and written


Ability to work within tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment


Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement


Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with Business Analysts and IT organizations


Ability to work effectively in shortcycle teamoriented environment managing multiple priorities and tasks


Ability to take full responsibility for tasks and projects
