Job Description
As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and support of SAP ABAP programs. This role requires close collaboration with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored technical solutions. You will work across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP programs to meet business requirements
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and implement them effectively
- Ensure the quality and performance of SAP ABAP programs through thorough testing and debugging
- Provide timely support and maintenance for existing SAP ABAP programs
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices
- Document and maintain clear and concise technical documentation
- Mentor and guide junior team members on SAP ABAP development practices
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP ABAP development team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments
- Proficiency in ABAP programming, including OOP concepts
- Experience with SAP UI technologies (e.g., Fiori, SAPUI5) is preferred
- Familiarity with SAP HANA database and its integration with ABAP is an asset
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends
