Job Description
As an SAP ABAP Gateway Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing SAP backend integration solutions and OData services. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in guiding the team and delivering innovative solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of SAP ABAP developers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Design and develop SAP backend integration solutions, leveraging ABAP and SAP Gateway technologies.
- Create and optimize OData services to enable efficient data exchange and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure high-quality code and documentation, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends, and drive innovation within the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely support and solutions.
- Document and communicate technical designs, ensuring clear and concise documentation.
- Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the growth of the SAP community.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on SAP Gateway and OData services.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide a team of developers.
- Expertise in ABAP programming, including object-oriented ABAP and SAP Gateway development.
- Hands-on experience with Fiori integrations and UI development is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working in cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and innovative approach to technology, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and its integration capabilities is an advantage.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in SAP ABAP and SAP Gateway development are highly desirable.
