ROLE SAP APO PPDS Lead
Qualifications And Experience
At least 5 years of experience in SAP APO PPDS modules
At least 2 end to end APO PPDS implementations not including rollouts
Experience in SAP S4 or Advanced Planning and SAP certification would be an added advantage
PROCESS KNOWLEDGE
Deep Process understanding of end to end Supply Chain planning, familiarity or expertise with SCOR model is preferred, technology agnostic
Expertise in at-least 2 industries e.g. CPG, Chemical, Automotive, Life Sciences etc
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Good level of understanding of all modules of SAP APO with expertise in PPDS.
Ability to lead and conduct Design workshops in front of an audience comprising of both Business and IT teams.
Ability to architect a Production planning and scheduling solution using APO PPDS while understanding the integration aspects between different modules within APO as well as of APO with ERP systems
Ability to work on complex configuration scenarios along with writing functional specifications for complex customizations
Good level of functional expertise in Core interface CIF
Ability to write complex functional logic in CIF customizations
Ability to configure and set up DS planning board and Planning tables
Expertise in Characteristic dependent planning CDP or Variant configuration would be a very big advantage
Very good understanding of ECC Master data specifically around Production Planning PP
Basic understanding and knowledge of SAP PP.
Responsibilities
HANDS ON EXPERIENCE AND DEEP EXPERTISE
PPDS Heuristics i.e. both Production planning and Detailed scheduling
PPDS Optimizer setup including Optimizer profile settings
Block planning and or campaign planning
Scenarios like Safety stock planning and lead times
Creation of Setup groups, Setup matrix
Master data in ECC i.e. MRP 1 to 4 tabs
MRP in SAP ECC or MRP live in S4
Understanding of master and transaction data in Discrete and Process industries i.e. difference between Routing and Recipe
Modelling with Secondary resources

SOFT SKILLS
Excellent communication skills, verbal as well as written
Positive attitude with flexibility and maturity to work in a challenging client environment
Conduct trainings and be a mentor for junior APO team members
