Job Description

Own product data taxonomy & classification

  • Define and manage product categories, hierarchies, and attribute structures across all Business Units.
  • Ensure standardization and consistency of taxonomy across systems and regions.

Drive product data governance

  • Establish andmaintaindata standards, naming conventions, and classification frameworks.
  • Partnerwith PIM COE, DAM COE, MDM, andDocCMSteams to align governance models.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closelywithProduct managers andBusinessUnits to understand product structures and ensureaccuratedata representation.
  • Act as the bridgebetween Marketing, IT, and data/platform teams.

Product data quality & enrichment

  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of product data across platforms (eCommerce, ERP, marketplaces).
  • Support enrichment of product content including attributes, descriptions, and media alignment.

Product onboarding & lifecycle management

  • Define and manage workflows for new productsetup, updates, and deprecation.
  • Ensure smooth data flow across upstream and downstream systems.

Platform & integration support

  • Collaborate on PIM platform enhancements and integrations with DAM, ERP, and other systems.
  • Support implementation of scalable data processes and automation.

Process optimization

  • Identifygaps and inefficiencies in product data flows and recommend improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in taxonomy and data management practices.

Analytics & performance alignment

  • Partner with Marketing and Analytics teams to ensure product data supports discoverability, SEO, and conversion.

Success Metrics

  • Taxonomy consistency across BUs
  • Product data completeness & accuracy
  • Timeto onboardnew products
  • Reduction in data errors / rework
  • Improved SEO readiness and product discoverability

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Experience leading or implementing PIM platforms (e.g.,Convergence,Akeneo, Salsify,Inriver,Stibo,Informatica, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of product taxonomy design, data governance, and product content lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating PIM with ERP, DAM, marketing automation, and analytics ecosystems.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud, or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.

General/Soft skills:

  • Work hours:Availablefor meetings and discussions until 12 noon CST
  • Adaptability: The candidate should be willing to adapt to the evolving needs of theMarketing teams and support appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Information Management
  • Proven experience leading PIM strategy and implementation, including taxonomy design, product data governance, quality frameworks, and integration with ERP, DAM, and eCommerce systems.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills, with the ability to link digital commerce and product data initiatives directly to revenue and business outcomes
