Role Overview
A senior hands-on engineer responsible for building and strengthening the core platform foundations of FLX ONE Cargo. The role focuses on creating scalable, reusable, reliable, and observable platform components that enable engineering teams to deliver faster and more efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build shared platform services, libraries, frameworks, and runtime components.
- Develop cloud-native foundations, deployment patterns, and infrastructure standards.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code and environment standardisation.
- Translate architectural patterns into scalable, maintainable implementations.
- Drive platform reliability, performance, observability, and operational consistency.
- Own critical production platform components and support debugging and optimisation.
- Conduct deep code reviews and address cross-cutting technical debt.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong backend/platform engineering expertise with modern enterprise technologies.
- Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms, C++, Node.js, .NET, and Terraform.
- Proven experience building shared services or internal platforms used by multiple teams.
- Strong system-level thinking and engineering judgment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Familiarity with observability and reliability engineering practices.
- Experience in large-scale SaaS or platform organisations.
