Job purpose:

A Sr. Designer will have over 5 years of experience in the field and a proven track record of designing successful consumer products or equivalent in lifestyle or automotive..As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will lead design projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Execution: Create detailed sketches, renderings, and 3D models to visualize design concepts, and develop high quality prototypes to test and refine designs.
• Innovation: Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for new products and improvements to existing products, ensuring designs are user centric, aesthetically pleasing, and ergonomically superior.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, meet project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Market Research: Conduct market research and stay UpToDate with industry trends, consumer preferences, and technological advancements to inform design decisions.
• Material and Process Expertise: Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to achieve design intent, cost efficiency, and sustainability goals.
• Maintain awareness of current design trends, materials, and technologies in the home appliance industry and document.
• NPD process: Understand each milestones deliverables and make sure the requirements are met
• Design Documentation: Exploring, refining, and documenting design solutions and processes while adhering to design system guidelines.

Functional Competencies

• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), CAD software (SolidWorks, Rhino), and rendering tools (KeyShot).
• Creative Skills: Exceptional sketching and visualization skills with a strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail.
• User-Centred Design:Clear understanding of user-centred design principles and practices.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering principles.

WORK EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED

2-3 Years of actual work experience in the Product Category

1.Knowledge of CorelDraw and Photo Paint

2.Illustration Skills

3.Knowledge of grids, layouts and printing process

4.Knowledge of Creo CAD Software, Key Shot software or equivalent

5.Manufacturing Process Knowhow

Knowledge of Customer Pain Points and Aesthetics
