- He will under the guidance of APM(Electrical)/ Block Manager attend various repair / renewals of electromechanical equipment's.
- He will attend to all complaints related to electrification on desktop/ control room which safety and with attention for economical repairs than that of expensive renewals.
- Inspect, repair, install , service and maintain electrical systems including DG systems conduit systems, lighting and power circuits, control equipment, switches fans, fixtures and any other systems.
- Read and interpret sketches, wiring diagrams, drawings and blue prints , perform work to specified standards.
- Maintain routine records and logs of inspections, maintenance, repairs and work orders.
- Provide assistance in various other areas of maintenance as required , perform semi-skilled to skilled maintenance repair and construction works in the basic trades.
- Adequate knowledge of store keeping and log maintenance.
- Report for duty on time and take over from your shift reliever
- Check your premises and equipment to be neat & clean.
- Check the DG System thoroughly for any of its electrical & mechanical problem.
- Carry out A check before starting of any of the DG's.
- Check and maintain the DG log book & control panel on a hourly basis.
- Check the number of liters of diesel present in service tank & day tank of individual dg at all shift changes & inform to the shift engineer.
- Maintain the daily record of diesel consumption unit generated, hours run & units per litre of Individual DG.
- Record the specific gravity of individual cells of the battery and battery voltage between its initial and final terminal on a weekly basis.
- For any abnormality (hunting problem, voltage fluctuation, rpm fluctuation, cranking failure etc),in the system , inform the supervisor & APM.
- Maintain all history cards.
- Help & support AMC vendors for B & C checks of DGs.
- Be alert in DG Operation at all the times.
Qualification & Experience
Should be an ITI certificate holder with a minimum experience of 2 years
ITI in electrician trade with 3 years experience in maintenance / Operation of HV/LV systems including VCB's, Transformers, LT panels and external internal electrification . Setting and testing of various electrical appliances, relays, PLC's and lightning protections. Knowledge of use of various instruments,multimeters,XLPEcablejoints.
