We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Specialist - EIT Engineering to join our team. As an EIT Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for applying engineering principles and IT systems knowledge to support the development, integration, and maintenance of engineering technologies. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in engineering systems and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and software. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, technical analysis, and supporting cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Engineering & IT Integration:
- Apply engineering principles to design, develop, and optimize systems that integrate engineering technologies with IT infrastructure.
- Support the implementation of IT solutions that meet the requirements of engineering projects and align with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of engineering systems and tools.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engineering systems, software, and hardware.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues related to engineering IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Work closely with engineering teams to diagnose problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- System Configuration & Maintenance:
- Configure, test, and maintain engineering systems, hardware, and software tools.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and securely.
- Manage system backups, software updates, and hardware configurations as part of system upkeep.
- Project Management & Collaboration:
- Assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring the integration of IT systems meets all technical and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Contribute to the development of project documentation, including system specifications, manuals, and technical reports.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of engineering data related to system performance, efficiency, and optimization.
- Develop and maintain documentation to track system configurations, software changes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on system performance and areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Identify areas for improvement within engineering IT systems and processes, proposing solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new technologies, methodologies, or workflows that enhance engineering operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology and IT solutions to recommend innovative approaches.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X+ years) in an engineering, IT support, or related technical role, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering systems and their integration with IT infrastructure.
- Experience with system administration, software deployment, and troubleshooting in a technical environment.
- Familiarity with engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, CAM, ERP systems) and IT solutions commonly used in engineering processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Good understanding of project management principles and the ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document processes and communicate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in IT systems or engineering software tools.
- Experience with cloud computing, data management systems, or automation in engineering environments.
